Earlier this year, GRK Civils attended the BAM UK & Ireland Northern Supply Chain Conference and Awards at Elland Road in Leeds. The event brought together BAM’s Yorkshire, Northeast and Northwest offices for the first time since their merger, with a day focused on future projects, sustainability responsibilities, and celebrating achievements across the supply chain.
GRK Civils was shortlisted in every award category and received recognition across the board:
- Winner – Health and Safety
- Winner – Social Sustainability
- Winner – Supervisor of the Year (Craig Lowery)
- Highly Recommended – Subcontractor of the Year
These achievements underline the company’s commitment to safe working practices and social responsibility. Winning the Health and Safety award reflects GRK Civils’ ongoing focus on keeping people safe on site, while the Social Sustainability award highlights the company’s contribution to local communities through employment, training, and wider engagement.
A standout moment of the evening was Craig Lowery being named Supervisor of the Year. Craig’s collaborative approach, along with his consistent focus on safety and quality, has been central to the success of GRK Civils’ projects with BAM in the Northeast.
