GRK Civils Managing Director Jamie Kilmartin has raised more than £12,800 for Leeds Mind after completing the 2026 London Marathon in an incredible sub four-hour time.
Jamie took on the challenge in support of Leeds Mind, an independent local mental health charity providing vital support, advice and services to people across Leeds and the surrounding areas. The charity works to improve mental health and wellbeing, helping individuals access the support they need through some of life’s most difficult moments.
The achievement marks months of hard work, commitment and training from Jamie, who balanced marathon preparation alongside the day-to-day demands of leading the business and being a busy dad. Crossing the finish line in under four hours was a huge personal achievement, made even more meaningful by the level of support shown throughout the fundraising campaign.
The total raised was only possible thanks to the generosity of our clients, suppliers, colleagues, friends, family and wider industry contacts who took the time to donate and support the cause. Every contribution helped drive the campaign forward and will now go towards supporting the important work carried out by Leeds Mind across the local community.
The support shown across the business and wider construction industry has been brilliant to see, with fundraising efforts taking place across our sites in the lead up to the marathon.
Everyone at GRK Civils would like to say a huge well done to Jamie on completing the marathon and raising such an incredible amount for charity. We would also like to thank everybody who donated, shared the fundraiser and supported the campaign along the way.
