At GRK, we believe that investing in apprentices means investing in the future of construction. As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we are proud to celebrate the incredible journey of our apprentices, who are learning, growing, and shaping the industry through their dedication and hard work.
This year’s theme, ‘Skills for Life,’ resonates deeply with our mission to develop talent, not just for today, but for the long-term success of our apprentices, our projects, and the wider industry. Across our sites, we’ve showcased the contributions of our apprentices through our ‘On Our Watch’ Site Safety Boards, spotlighting their achievements, challenges, and aspirations.
Why Apprenticeships Matter
Apprenticeships are more than just a route into the industry—they provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving skills that can’t be learned in a classroom alone. At GRK, our apprentices are an essential part of our teams, working on live projects, earning qualifications, and gaining practical skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
Through structured learning and on-the-job training, they develop key competencies such as:
- Technical Skills – Mastering essential tools, equipment, and construction methods.
- Problem-Solving – Learning to assess challenges and find practical solutions.
- Teamwork & Communication – Understanding the importance of collaboration on-site.
- Leadership & Responsibility – Taking ownership of tasks and building confidence.
Meet Our Apprentices

Supporting Apprentices for Long-Term Success
At GRK, we don’t just train apprentices—we invest in them. Our approach ensures they receive one-on-one mentorship, access to qualifications, and exposure to real-world construction challenges. From safety training to leadership development, we are committed to equipping them with the tools they need to progress within GRK and beyond. As our apprentices continue to develop, we look forward to seeing them become the next generation of skilled professionals, mentors, and leaders within the construction industry.
